Li Laurent first began her performance career as a professional dancer, working alongside some of the industry's most exceptional talent, before founding her own touring company, "Seeing Sounds". During this time she extended her formal training at the prestigious Northern Contemporary School of Dance before a knee injury forced her to leave the program. During her physical rehabilitation, she completed her first degree in psychology and her musical creativity was laterally embraced through singing and songwriting, which has evolved into the 14 track strong collection that received global play and industry recognition. Li is today best known for her powerhouse vocals and dynamic performances, winning awards internationally for her live shows. She embraces the concept of "doing it all" and "being yourself" as a trauma specialist, researcher and music artist (all at once but reasonably, not at the exact same time). In early 2022 Li bridged the gaps between these roles entirely and successfully established her own online therapy and coaching company that works with clients from all over the world, which also uniquely helps performers of all industries to access support to enhance their careers without cost, with experts in the field. Li promotes connection and authenticity in everything she does, and her music artistry is of no exception. With two BBC Introducing tracks, track of the week, international airplay (Australia, UK, USA), Fringe award nominations and an EP under her belt in 2023 alone, her graft matches her enthusiasm. Her visual concept album "Parts" is out later this year.
