Li Laurent first began her performance career as a professional dancer, working alongside some of the industry's most exceptional talent, featured in the U.K blockbuster "Street Dance 3D" and co-founding the dance company "Seeing Sounds". During this time she extended her formal training at the prestigious Northern Contemporary School of Dance. A knee injury later changed the trajectory of her profession, which led to her first degree in Psychology, a Masters in Mental Health Social Work Specialising in Systemic Practice with Military Veterans and her current enrolment in a Professional Doctorate for Counselling and Psychotherapy. Her research on Western Adopter's Experience of Buddhism gained industry-wide recognition published in Pastoral Psychology, and she continues to investigate experiences of authenticity, expression and well-being in her professional work. Alongside these endeavours, her musical creativity has been laterally embraced through performance, singing and songwriting, which evolved into the 14 track strong collection "Not a Genre" receiving global airplay and critical acclaim. Li Laurent is today best known for her powerhouse vocals and dynamic performances internationally, embracing the concept of "doing it all" and "being yourself" as a psychotherapist, researcher and music artist (all at once but reasonably, not at the exact same time).
