As a singer-songwriter, Li Laurent details the inspiration behind the songs, her major label signing, the decision to stay independent and how choosing to “do it all” as a trauma specialist and researcher enabled her to find the right people to do it all with (something she cites as the most important part of wanting to do any of it in the first place). A female powerhouse in the community, and an advocate of women not just to the front – but side-by-side-supportively, this night is not one to be missed.

Li Laurent is an enigmatic singer-songwriter who writes songs about feeling very deeply and/or being incredibly sassy. She’s a critically acclaimed, award winning British music artist known for her powerful vocals, unique writing style & hilarious commentary throughout her live shows. She is regularly featured on podcasts & radio stations across the world, gracing festivals inclusive of BBC Introducing, Airwaves, 2Q, Y Not, Adelaide Fringe and Newcastle Fringe, amongst others. With 2 albums already under her belt, her EP All Good Choices and concept album are set to set her career ablaze in Australia, ahead of her U.S tour later this year.

Chloe Gill is a 20 year old folk rock artist from Newcastle Australia. Chloe has a bona fide sound that is refined by her comfortingly nostalgic voice. From a young age Chloe began to find her groove for performing after growing up in a supportive musical household.

Chloe developed a magnetic passion for songwriting during her graduation from Sydney's Talent Development Project (TDP) in 2021. Her debut single ‘Paper Stars’ was released under the TDP; inspired by Australian Artist William Yang’s ‘Stars In My Hand’, she recorded with her cohort under Phillip Anquetil (Ruel, and H3RIZON) and Adrian Breakspeare (Gang Of Youths) at SONY Foundations in Sydney. Since this release, Chloe followed up with multiple singles as well as the release of her debut EP ‘The Lonely Man’ in 2023 which she co produced and recorded between The Grove Studios (Birds of Tokyo, Middle Kids and Violent Soho), Sonora Studios (Pacific Avenue) with Jack Nigro and Hazy Cosmic Jive with Gareth Hudson. The EP is a concept project that follows the storyline of a murder mystery and the haunting contortions of the oceans unpredictability as a metaphor for battling anxiety and grief in life.

In 2023 Chloe successfully won the Listen up Music National Songwriting Prize with her single ‘Circulated Fantasies’. The track was also recently successful in the International Songwriting Prize 2023 competition for both the song itself and the music video as a Semi Finalist. In addition to her regular gigs where she loves audiences with songs that speak through her mature creativity with emotionally binding lyrics and incomparable melodies, Chloe has earned her name as a local must see act.

Abbi Yeo is a fiercely independent singer/songwriter from the Central Coast who started writing at age 11, and at 21 has alchemised that passion in to her EP - Perfect Silence, released in 2021, with her track Wildfire winning Newcastle Music Show Steel City 50. Her latest single “Object” is out now and Abbi continues to build on her outstanding catalogue with music in the works for release later this year.
